Peaks of Europe

We will go on an adventure in the Picos de Europa National Park in Spain. This limestone formation extends through Asturias, Cantabria and Castile and Leon, standing out for its altitudes, in many cases above the 2500 meters. One can not speak of this Massif without mentioning the Urriellu Peak, or Naranjo de Bulnes, undisputed king of these mountains and of all the rest of the Hispanic geography, for being also an ex-libris of Spanish mountaineering. It was first conquered in 1905 by Pedro Pidal, Marquis de Villaviciosa and his companion Gregorio Pérez DeMaría, and since then his legendary aura has not stopped growing.
